Financial Aid

For School Year: 2010-2011

Seabury Hall’s Financial Aid Program has a two-fold purpose: to provide deserving students an opportunity for a high quality college preparatory education which might otherwise be unobtainable for them, and to provide the School with a well-qualified student body reflecting a broad social and economic mix. For these goals to be achieved, it is essential that the ability to pay full tuition should not be a deciding factor in determining whether or not a promising young person may attend Seabury Hall.

Parents who feel that they need financial assistance are encouraged to request it. Financial aid decisions are made independently from admission decisions and in no way affect a candidate’s chances for admission. The admission process and the Financial Aid Program are open to students of any race, creed, and national or ethnic origin.

Financial aid is only awarded to families who show financial need.  Financial need is determined by taking into account many factors including income, net worth, standard living expenses, family size and educational expenses.  Seabury Hall’s financial aid budget is limited, and we are not able to meet the full need of every student who qualifies for financial aid.

Financial Aid Process:

  • When you complete the Application for Admission, check the financial aid box.  We will send you instructions and a timeline to follow.
  • Returning students who have received aid will automatically receive a packet.  Those who have not previously received aid, but wish to apply, should request a packet from the Admissions Office by calling 572-0807 or email: enelson@seaburyhall.org.
  • In mid-November, we will send you a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) instruction booklet, along with supplementary information about Seabury Hall’s financial aid program.  Both parents in a separated or divorced family will be required to complete a financial aid application.
